How does Virtual POS work?
The Garanti Virtual POS system can be integrated into the hosting platform of the internet store in several ways depending on the preference of the technical crew. The integration procedure can be carried by using APIs that are compatible with the selected platform.
For Windows NT 4.0 and 2000 Servers
Integration in Windows-based systems can be carried out by using COM, CGI, Java APIs, Microsoft SiteServer and Microsoft CommerceServer Objects and Secure Joint Payment Page.
Payment transactions in the DLL system are carried out by registering the EstPayCom Component into the server and calling up the functions of the component from the program. In the CGI system, the payment transactions are carried out by sending the necessary information to the Virtual POS CGI. Similarly, the payment transactions can also be carried out by using Jlink API.
There are also specially developed integration scripts for Microsoft Siteserver or Microsoft Commerce Server store development programs.
As the fifth method, the Secure Payment Page can be used. Detailed information regarding this service can be found on the Secure Joint Payment Page article.
For UNIX/Linux-based Servers
Integration in UNIX based systems are carried out by using CGI, Java API and the Secure Joint Payment Page.
Payment transaction in the CGI method is carried out by sending the necessary information to the Virtual POS CGI. While a CGI version compiled for Linux, Sun Solaris and HPUX is available, it is also possible to compile the application for other platforms.
For the payment transaction, Java API can also be used.
Another method is using the Secure Joint Payment Page. Detailed information regarding this service can be found on the Secure Joint Payment Page article.
