GARANTI BANK - THE MOST TARGETED MOBILE APP

Challenge:

Billions of mobile ad impressions go to waste every year simply because they are not targeted enough. Garanti Bank wanted more people to download their mobile banking app without wasting any impressions.

Solution:

We had to find a way to make a mobile banner that simply didn't waste any impressions.

We created a media first using existing technology and found a way to show our mobile banner only to people who don't already have Garanti App on their phone.

Execution:

Every app in your phone can check for other apps. Like Twitter finding and triggering the Facebook app when needed.

By adding a simple line of code we tweaked Turkey's most used news apps to look for the Garanti app. If the news app found the mobile banking app, nothing happened. The banner popped up only when the app wasn't found on the phone.

Result:

The banner had an 18% download conversion rate. 10 times the average for mobile app promotion campaigns*. Leading to 500 new downloads every day and cutting the cost per download of previous campaigns by half.
