Internet Banking Security Settings

Have complete security on your transactions with the Security Settings.

With the Security Settings, you can keep your security settings under control by adjusting them yourself. You can make your Security Settings through the Settings menu, Security Settings step on Internet Banking. The Security Settings consist of six steps:

IP Restriction

By defining the IP or the IP ranges that you use when logging on to Internet Banking through the IP* Restriction step, you can prevent logins from undefined IPs or IP ranges. This way, you can allow logins to Internet Banking only when logged on through the IPs and IP ranges that you have defined.

Setting Access Periods

You can close Internet Banking for use temporarily or between specific dates, or you can open it for use for any day or time of the week as you wish.**

Deactivating Money Transfer

If you don't make money transfers using Internet Banking, you can close any or all of the money transfer, EFT or SWIFT transactions  for use in Internet Banking.

Money Transfer Alert

If an amount of money higher than the amount you have set through Internet Banking or Alo Garanti is withdrawn from your accounts, an alert message regarding the transaction will be sent to you via the communication channel (SMS, e-Mail) you have determined.

Determining a Transaction Limit

You can lower your daily limit for money transfer, EFT, SWIFT transactions using Internet Banking. The daily limit specifies the maximum total amount that can be sent using that specific transaction in a single day.

Defining Accounts-Cards:

You can define the accounts and/or credit cards that you don't want to be accessible or visible through Internet Banking.

*Every computer that connects to the internet has a unique IP (Internet Protocol) address. An IP address consists of four numbers, separated by dots. The flow of traffic throughout the internet depends on these addresses. When you connect to the internet, an IP address is assigned to your computer. However, the IP addresses of many users are dynamic. This means that an available IP address from your service provider is assigned to you computer each time you connect to the internet. Because of this, your IP address may change with every new connection.
There are also IP addresses that are static. These IP address never change. Türk Telekom has recently began providing static IP addresses to the ADSL users who request this service.

**If you ever need to log on to Internet Banking via an undefined IP address, or outside the specified access period, you can open Internet Banking for use temporarily using a “Verification Code” that is sent to you mobile phone. To use this service, you must have a valid mobile phone number registered in the system.
