Important announcement concerning unclaimed customer accounts, collateral, and receivables held by our bank
Under article 62 of the Banks Act (Statute 5411), deposits, funds, collateral, and receivables held by banks are deemed to be unclaimed if ten years pass without their beneficiaries making any demands, performing any transactions, or issuing any instructions related to them.
Under article 8 of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency’s “Regulations concerning principles and procedures pertaining to the acceptance and withdrawal of deposits and funds and to unclaimed deposits, funds, collateral, and receivables” issued pursuant to article 62 of the Banks Act (Statute 5411), banks are required to post lists of unclaimed customer deposits, collateral, and receivables on their own websites at the beginning of February each year. Such lists must remain posted for a period of three months’ time.
In line with this requirement, customers whose names and account details are shown in the list below should contact our bank with proof of identity no later than 15 May 2010, failing which the balances of their unclaimed accounts will be transferred to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund as required by law.
Please be advised.
