Announcement concerning May 1st

An announcement by the ISE Board of Governors gives the following information about the principles governing trading and clearances that will apply to all ISE markets and exchanges due to the full-day holiday on 1 May 2009.

On the Bonds & Bills Outright Trading Market and the Repo & Reverse Repo Trading Market, there will be no trading or clearances on Friday 1 May 2009 due to the official holiday that day however both outright trades with due dates of 1 May 2009 and repo/reverse repo transactions with due dates of 1 May 2009 will take place on 1 May 2009. Because of the bank holiday, no orders dated 1 May 2009 will be allowed.

On the Equities Exchange, there will be no trading sessions on 1 May 2009. Transactions that take place on Wednesday 29 April 2009 will be cleared on Monday 4 May 2009. Transactions that take place on Monday 30 April 2009 will be cleared on Tuesday 5 May 2009.

On the ISE Foreign Securities Exchange International Bonds Market, there will be no trading or clearances on 1 May 2009 due to the official holiday that day.

On the Turkish Derivatives Exchange (TurkDEX), there will be no transactions on 1 May 2009 due to the official holiday that day.

Clearances for trades taking place on Thursday 30 April 2009 must be completed on Monday 4 May 2009.

On mutual fund markets, there will be no trading on 1 May 2009 due to the official holiday that day.

In addition:
EFT orders dated 1 May 2009 will be effected on 4 May 2009 owing to the official holiday that day. No EFT transactions will take place on 1 May 2009.

Owing to the official holiday, the maturity dates of accounts maturing on 1 May 2009 have been moved forward to Monday 4 May 2009.

If your credit card’s payment-due date is 1 May 2009, you may make your payments on that day from the Garanti Online Branch, Alo Garanti, or any Garanti Paramatik or else on 4 May 2009 from any GarantiBank branch or by other available means.

Collections for consumer loan installments that fall due on 1 May 2009 will be effected on Monday 4 May 2009 without being subject to any default or penalty interest charges.
