What is verification via SMS? How do I use it? If I transfer my number to a different operator, would I still receive the verification SMSs?

Verification via SMS is the method of getting your verification via SMS for the money transfers, information updates, and payments that are made through Internet Banking.
When you choose the menu for the transaction you want to make, you will first see a SMS verification page.
By going through the steps on this page, you can verify your transaction via SMS.
Select any mobile phone you use that is registered with the bank and click “Request PIN”. A verification code will be sent to the mobile you selected. All you need to do is to enter the 6 digit code that is sent to your mobile phone to the appropriate field on the Internet Banking transaction page.
After the verification is completed, you can proceed with your transaction.

Remember

Only one SMS verification is necessary for each time you log on to the Online Banking. If you do not receive your code within 3 minutes, you can request another code, after making sure your SMS memory is not full and your mobile is inside the coverage area.
If you do not have registered phone, you can register a phone number from any Garanti Bank branch or Paramatik.

Verification via SMS is not required for Internet Banking logins with Şifrematik or Cep Şifrematik.
Verification via SMS is not required for Quick Money Transfers, Quick Prepaid Phone Top-Ups and Quick Game of Chance payments.
Transaction Verification SMSs would not be affected by the portability of the number.
